
Ian has been involved in numerous mining consulting projects with large mining groups in Africa and Australia. He specialises in LOM planning and scheduling, and has been required to perform project management functions on a regular basis. His expertise encompasses Coal, Base Metals, Diamonds and Gold mining operations.
Olaf was appointed in the position of Senior Mining Engineer at MRM in 1998. He now holds the positions of Director and XERAS Product Manager. Olaf's strengths lie in project management and financial modelling, and he has been instrumental in the successful implementation of several international XERAS projects.
Shaun joined MRM in May 2000 and since then has been involved in both underground and open pit coal mine projects as well as Dragline simulations.
Esmond spent seven years with Sasol Coal, working three and a half years on production and three and a half year in projects. After leaving school Esmond obtained an Engineering Degree, BEng (Mining).
Kevin spent fourteen years with Goldfields of SA, working at Libanon Gold Mine, near Westonaria. In 1998 he joined the De Beers group, at Kimberley Mines the oldest and deepest diamond mine in the world. Kevin originally started his career in the survey discipline and whilst relieving in the Planning section he decided this was the career path to follow.
Nico was employed by Kumba Resources (formerly Iscor) for sixteen and a half years. During this period he obtained a National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering from Pretoria Technikon. He was employed at the Pretoria Works Steel Mill, and later transferred to Thabazimbi Iron Ore Mine as Geological Assistant.
